Niki is almost 8 weeks (estimate). She was found in a gravel pit with her sister Sadie. They have been in foster care now for almost 3 weeks waiting to be old enough to be tested for FL/FIV and receive a second dewormer. We also try to keep kittens together until they are 8-10 weeks old as they learn good kitty social skills from each other.

As with all our adoptions, we will be covering their spays (unless the new owners offer). Our fee to adopt is $100, it may seem like a lot but it includes the deworming, a check up and FL/FIV and the spay/neuter. All our adoptees come with items with their scent on, litter box, scoop, blankee, toys, collar and a ID tag, bowls and sample food and kitty litter … This helps them settle in to their new homes when they have their own things.

If you are interested in adopting Niki please email us for a application ….

To adopt a second kitty … Our fee is only $1 more. Twice as much fun.

Teko – Henry Adopted

Poor Teko. After being found as a injured stray on the Port au Port Peninsula and fixed up by his rescuers he was placed in a home with people who decided to abandon him when they moved.

This poor sweet gentle fella spent June and July on his own, he was found and brought to one of our members and we took him to our vet for a check up, fl/fiv test and dewormer and put in foster care. Purrfect timing as one of our members was contacted about a client who had lost their beloved cat … Teko was just the cat who needed help and love.

He will never be abandoned again.

Poor Henry (aka Teko) his injury hadn’t healed. Unknown to us the infection was still there just waiting to cause trouble. He wasn’t in his new home a week when it broke through and he ended up back in hospital where basically he’s been ever since. He’s had surgery to flush it out, the wound to the bone in his head was shaved down to eliminate the dents caused by what we feel was a BB gun shot, after intensive therapy just when we thought it was safe to close him back up … The infection was back again. Looking at new therapy. For now he isn’t suffering, under the very watchful care if the great team at the Exploits Valley Animal Hospital. His adoptive momma who had had him less time than he’s been in the hospital calls him and visits him.

SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO HELPED WITH HIS SURGERY. And special thanks to The Exploits Valley Animal a Hospital.

Prince – ADOPTEd

Prince arrived in foster care yesterday. He is a big fella, very sweet, shy at first but very very sweet. Prince is @ 15 months old, neutered, we tested him for felV/fl (negative) and he has been dewormed. Prince has a unique curly short tail. To adopt this handsome guy please email us fora application …

Cammie – Adopted

This young mom was rescued with her 2 little ones. Cammie and they babies got a check up and their felv/fl test (negative) and their dewormers at the Exploits Valley Animal Hospital and off to foster care. Mom went to a home without her babies so her milk could dry up in preparation for her spay and was spayed as a Mother’s Day/birthday gift to one of our members.

Little Mom is only a young cat, this probably was her first litter. She is very sweet, purrs and loves attention. Cammie, after a couple of tussles with the dogs, finally fitted in at her foster home so well that this is now her furever home … We aren’t sure who loves her most, Momma or her person.

Emma – Adopted

After months waiting in foster care – Emma finally found someone to love her.

Emma is a young female, estimate 1-2 years old. She was rescued this week after being outside for quite some time. Emma is very tame though.

Emma was tested for FelV and FIV (negative), she’s been spayed and dewormed and bathed and groomed. Emma is good with other cats and still working on dogs, but so far she just cautious.

Emma would love a furever home!!! and deserves to be a pampered princess…we think she may have been a throw away kitty.

If you are interested in adopting Emma please email us for a application.

As with all our cat adoptions, Emma won’t be allowed to go outside.

Momma – adopted

Momma is a very beautiful 7 year old spayed, declawed cat. Momma needs a special home where she will be groomed regularly and be put on a good quality diet cat food and exercised, as she is very overweight. Because she needs to be fed strictly a special diet a home without other cats is preferred.

Momma is good with children (ages 6 and up) and used to living with a dog.
