This sweet girl was picked up as a stray and unclaimed. We took her to the groomers and the vet. She was very thin and her paws were sore. We put her on a high energy food, dewormed her and vaccinated her. She is being spayed tomorrow (Sept. 15). The vet estimates her age at 9-10 months, she is only @ 30 pounds, needs another 10 on her. She isn’t going to be a big dog.

She is in foster care with another dog. She is a great girl, with lots of silly energy. She loves everyone. She listens well. Knows some basic commands.

We are looking for a home for her who can continue her training, lots of play time, maybe another dog to play with, a fenced yard, lots of walks.

Sparkle and Twinkle ADOPTED

These two finally found their furever home with a senior couple who had adopted senior brothers from us first when our organization started. Special thanks to their foster care providers.

These two handsome males are brothers, they are neutered, being vet checked tomorrow, 5-6 years old. Sparkle loves to snuggle. Twinkle is a little shyer but he took loves to snuggle.

The boys are fl/fiv negative, have their first vaccines and been dewormed.

These cats were left abandoned on one of our volunteer’s steps. Not a wise decision as she is often out of town. Sadly we know where they came for but efforts to have a fine or charges laid haven’t gotten us very far. When politicians come knocking on your door have a discussion with them about the fact right now the new Animal Protection Act has not teeth and has no PAID appointed/trained staff. It’s so frustrating for our volunteers when we preach to people about not abandoning animals … There are no consequences. There aren’t enough foster homes, not enough space in shelters, not enough shelters … And never enough money. It’s time for a change!!!

In the meantime, if you are interested in adopting these two great guys please email us at

BoBo was rescued by a very kind lady who found him starving in Mexico – she brought him back to Newfoundland and had him all fixed and nursed back to health. Thinking she was living in a safe area, BoBo was allowed outside … Sadly, BoBo was a victim of a shooting incident. Again he was rushed to the a Exploits Valley Animal Hospital where he lost his leg but thankfully not his life.

BoBo needs another angel to watch over him as he needs a furever home (inside). His rescuer has developed severe asthma and can no longer care for him.

If you can adopt please either contact the number listed or if you can foster please contact us. Remember – all you do is supply the love and care – we supply everything else.

Farley – Adopted

Carley’s foster care people have decided they just can’t part with him.

Farley tested negative for fl/fiv and has started the deworming process. Farley is sweet and very affectionate. He’s now @ 12-14 weeks.

Although in the photo he appears black, he is more a chocolate brown tabby with white flicks of hair. Farley enjoys cuddling when sleepy and sucks in his paw or his foster mom’s neck.

As with all our animals, we include covering the cost of the spay/neuter when the time comes.

This little one with need a loving, responsible home with another cat friendly cat. If you are interested in adopting this baby kitty please email us at
